We may spend much of our lives with our head nestled on a pillow, but a man in Japan took his relationship much further as he married his in a ceremony.
Lee Jin-gyu fell in love with his ‘dakimakura’ – a large, huggable pillow – which had a picture of a popular anime character printed on the side.
The image in question was of Fate Testarossa, from the ‘magical girl’ anime series Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.

The 28-year-old married his ‘pillow’, which was wearing a wedding dress, at a ceremony in front of a local priest.
“He is completely obsessed with this pillow and takes it everywhere,” said one friend.
One is tempted to say ‘only in Japan’. It is a weird world everywhere!
