At first glance the picture below appears to be a stunning painting of a tiger, but it is in fact the latest work of body painting expert Craig Tracy.

Tracy spend 24 hours painting on three naked women to create this masterpiece which is to raise the profile of the endangered South China tiger.

We go back to 2003 for one of the weirdest cases of animal survival with the story of Dosha, who was run over, shot in the head and frozen, but lived to wag his tail again.

The 10-month-old puppy wandered away from her owner’s home in California and was hit by a car and presumed to have suffered injuries from which he could not recover.

To put him out of his misery a police officer shot the dog in the head with his pistol.

Dosha was then transported to an animal control center where she was placed in a plastic bag and put in a freeze, but two hours later a veterinarian opened the door to the freezer and found Dosha standing up inside that plastic bag.

I am sure we have all swivelled across the office on our chair when the boss isn’t looking, while some of us may have undertaken a challenge to see who can get across the floor first on our office chair on particularly quiet days.

So, it is no surprise that someone has taken this tomfoolery a step further and developed Office Chair Racing.

The championships took place in Germany this weekend in the town of Bad Konig-Zell and downhill event was won by Luxembourger Pierre Feller.

He covered the 200-metre course in just 26.95 seconds, reaching a top speed of 35kph on his humble, if slightly adapted, office chair.

It was the third championship of its kind and the rules permit riders to use inline-skate wheels and handles, but otherwise the chair must be just that, a chair.

One of the most messed up world records has been set this year after American Darren Taylor broke the shallow diving record.

For the uninitiated this is the act of jumping from a great height into not very much water. Depending on your childhood this may immediately make you think of Dumbo.

Anyhow, the facts and the figures of this extraordinary stunt are that Taylor, or Professor Splash as he is also known, jumped from 36.3 feet in the air into just 12 inches of water.

He lived to accept his record but we think it goes without saying that nobody should try this at home, or assuming they don’t have a high diving board at home, anywhere else.

Some stories really do not need explaining as you can see the outcome of this one as soon as we star, but for the sake of clarity, here we go.

An Indonesian politician renowned for opposing pornography has been forced to resign after being caught watching adult matter in, of all places, parliament.

Arfinto was caught somewhat ironically watching what has been described as as a sexually explicit movie on a tablet computer during a parliamentary debate.

The lawmaker, who was a member of the strict Islamic Prosperous Justice Party, said he would now redeem himself by seeking religious forgiveness and reciting the Koran

Arifinto was behind the banning of kissing in public in Indonesia as well as banning the possession of pornographic material, which was a rule he seemed to forget applied to himself.

To make matters worse he could yet be prosecuted for his ‘crime’.

An 11-year-old boy from India has lived with being known as the Werewolf Boy for all of his life as his condition baffles medical experts.

Pruthviraj Pati from the Indian district of Sangli near Bombay suffers from hypertrichosis and is said to be one of only 50 people in the world with the condition.

He is left with his face and body covered in thick matted hair and despite many treatments nothing seems to work.

“Why did God do this to us,” said his mother. “He looks so odd and whever we go people throng to see him.”

Pruthviraj’s family have tried a range of treatments – including homeopathy, traditional Indian Ayurvedic remedies and more recently laser surgery – but none has proved successful.

He is not the only sufferer to draw the attention of the world media. Here is Supatra Sasuphan from Thailand – the werewolf girl, who lives a normal active life despite her appearance.

Landlords often moan about enduring nightmare tenants, but few have as much ground to complain as one homeowner in Malaysia, who found his entire house has been stolen.

As Zuria Ali, 30, went to collect rent from his double storey wooden house he found some scattered wood and 24 concrete pillars that had been holding up his home in the northern state of Perlis.

The tenants had stole furniture, cutlery and a refrigerator, but most staggeringly they had also taken the walls, doors and windows to the home.

Police are investigating reports of the missing home which is set to cost Mr Ali 30,000 ringgit or £6,200.

The Chinese are famous for eating just about anything, but the emergence of a new delicacy is shocking even for them.

In Zhejiang province, eastern China, the new way to enjoy a boiled is to boil it in ten-year-old boys’ urine. Why? Nobody has explain that yet.

Chef Lu Ming said: “The urine is gathered from local schools and the very best comes from boys under 10 years old. They pee in buckets and we collect it fresh every day.”

The eggs are boiled twice in the wee before the shells are pealed and apparently this is to become China’s next great export.

Referees are often accused of lacking common sense and this most certainly seems to have been the case in a non-league match in England when a referee sent off a player for assisting security in tackling a streaker.

The match between Havant & Waterlooville and Dorchester had been disrupted after a naked man ran on the pitch and attempted to avoid being caught by the limited number of security at the stadium.

When one player had had enough and wrestled the man to the floor he was shown a red card to the shock and outrage of all around him.

It is amazing what you can find your sofa, as well as under the cushions of course, but the amazement usually entails money, long-lost keys and unfortunately decomposed food.

So, imagine the reaction of a woman in Brazil who found an alligator behind her sofa and to make matters worse her three-year-old son was tapping it on the head.

The alligator is believed to have been washed into her home in the town of Parauapebas after heavy rain.

She called the fire brigade, who trapped the 1.5m-long (5ft) alligator and said that they were lucky the beast wasn’t hungry or they may not have lived to tell the excellent tale.

The reptile had been released in a less populated area of the town.
